Naxos
Naxos is the largest and most fertile of the Cyclades Islands and with its green and mountainous highland scenery, seems immediately distinct from many of other Greek Islands.
It is the most attractive and beauiful island. Naxos harmoniously combines majestic mountain beauty, intensively cultivated agricultural plains and kilometres of sweeping golden sands.
The northern part of the island is green, verdant and very beautiful. The high central plain is mainly planted large olive groves. In the south west, almost the whole length of the coast is golden beaches intermittenly broken up by rocky headlands.
Since Naxos, by far the largest of the Cyclades, is composed of mountains, isolated villages, fertile valleys, beaches, even in high season it is easy to find quiet places.

The Best Beaches in Cyclades
Naxos has the longest and some of the best beaches in Greece. The island is a paradise for beach lovers, many of them return each year to enjoy the sand and the crystal clear waters. Agios Prokopios, a fine sandy beach, is located south the headland of Stelida peninsula.
Agia Anna, the next cove south is beautiful with small port for the fishing boats and the yachts.
South of Agia Anna is Plaka beach, one of the best on the island, a five kilometre stretch of fine sand and almost uninhabited in the southern part of it.
